JACKSON GOSS
Jacksongoss.com was created to showcase Jacks passion for color on canvas. His foray into art began during college in 2001. There was a piece of art hanging in a gallery window that he became very interested in. Upon learning the price of the huge piece, he decided he could recreate something very similar and call it his own. After college and having moved around Jackson found the need to escape the worries of work and began painting again starting with a few pieces for his own space. Over the years life got busy, he painted here and there for friends and the space needed to paint declined. It wasn't until 2006 when he purchased his condo downtown Chicago that he rediscovered his passion. The bare brick walls of his space called to be covered in art. A year later while on craigslist.com he found a restaurant in Andersonville willing to showcase local artists so Jackson applied and was accepted as 1 of 4 artists to display work over a month. Jackson showcased 7 original pieces. He has taken on individual projects since then painting for local Chicago clients out of his Rogers Park home studio. He prefers a more intimate meeting, one on one with each client in their home to gage the environment where the piece will hang.
